Current Planning Applications
This page is dedicated to current and recent planning applications that Bancon Developments have made. As identified on the Planning Legislation page, community involvement is high on the Scottish planning agenda, and this applies to development management as well as forward development planning. A three month period of consultation is required for all 'major' planning applications, involving at least one public event. The aim of this is to involve the public in the process before a planning application is made, rather than as a reaction to what a developer has tabled without community input.
As well as public events, Bancon consider this website to be a useful tool in allowing the public to consider proposed developments and comment on them.
As well as major planning applications, public involvement in local applications is also welcomed, and information on such applications is also posted below. This will often be a link to the relevant external website (idox) containing the application file and drawings.
Major Applications / Proposal of Application Notices
A Proposal of Application Notice is made to the Planning Authority no less than 12 weeks prior to submission of a 'major' planning application. The notice is sent to the Planning Authority and all relevant Community Councils, identifying the proposed course of community consultation in advance of making a planning application. This must include at least one public event.
Current consultations are listed below. Please follow the links for more information on each individual project:
