Aberdeen City LDP bids

Please click on the images to be taken to the mini-site for each of our bids in Aberdeen City. Each site contains details about the development proposals, including the original LDP bids. Aberdeen City Council have published the Proposed Local Development Plan, and they intend submitting this to Scottish Ministers in the near future. Some of the sites listed below are favoured in the plan for development, and others are not. Where sites are favoured for development, the mini-sites will contain a greater depth of information, and more detailed plans, as we hope to pursue the developments in the immediate future.

maidencraig plan

Maidencraig is a site that is made up of two separate LDP bids, north and south of the Lang Stracht. In total, these can deliver up to 1000 houses, a primary school, shops, offices and a real sense of community.

peterculter west

Peterculter West is a LDP bid that considered a large area of land to the west of the existing town, but through careful analysis, the proposals have been reduced to concentrate on a mix of business and residential development to the north of the site.

peterculter east

Peterculter East promotes the development of 4 small sites in and around the eastern edge of Peterculter, offering residential sites totaling around 200 dwellings and a state of the art business park.

milltimber southMilltimber South consists of two sites, north and south of the Deeside Way, offering around 80 dwelinghouses and some small shops. The sites are currently bounded by developed land.

ardbeck

Hill of Ardbeck is a small site at the north of the town. The centre of the site is a natural bowl, with fine views out, and limited views in, making it ideal for a discreet development of around 60 houses.

pitfodels

Pitfodels is a LDP for the development of an infill site on the western edge of Aberdeen. The site is promoted for around 60 houses, retaining significant areas of green space and woodland planting.
