Bancon Developments Projects
This website has been created to allow a single point of access for information on current development proposals being promoted by Bancon Developments. Recent planning reform in Scotland has placed considerable emphasis on involving local communities in the planning process. Bancon see this change as a very positive one, and are keen to embrace this and involve as many people as possible in the projects we develop. The site addresses both our Local Development Plan (LDP) bids for future allocations of land for development, and current planning applications.

PROPOSED GOLF DEVELOPMENT, KEITH HALL ESTATE, INVERURIE
Bancon Developments have prepared a brochure to demonstrate a potential golf development at Keith Hall Estate, Inverurie. It is a beautiful setting for a golf course, with mature trees and rolling landscape. An indicative layout has also been prepared to demonstrate how a course could be set out on the site.
Please download the brochure by clicking the image on the right.

We are preparing to undertake a formal public consultation exercise for our site at Hill of Ardbeck, Peterculter. Full details of the proposals, and information on the consultation can be found on the Current Planning Applications pages.
We are also preparing to begin a process of formal community consultation for land identified for development in the Aberdeen City Proposed Local Development Plan at Maidencraig. The site is identified as suitable for 750 houses. We are developing a masterplan for the area in advance of pursuing any planning applications, and welcome community involvement in the process.

Both the Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen City Local Development Plans have been agreed by the Local Authorities, and have moved to the next stage in the process. Our pages on this site reflect our current position in this regard. For more details of the process of the Local Development Plan Examination, please visit this page on the Scottish Government's website.

Please take a minute to look through sections About Bancon Developments and Planning Legislation before searching through the projects we are currently working on.
What can you find on this site?
On this site, Bancon will provide details of current planning applications and Local Development Plan bids. Please click the images below, or use the navigation buttons to the top left of the page, to access the information pages that you wish to see. Where a page contains links to other relevant websites, these will be listed in the panel on the left of the screen for easy navigation.
Because of the volume of objections that have been submitted to both Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire Councils in response to their Proposed Local Development Plans, it is a daunting task to search through them. Bancon have therefore included all of our submissions to the Proposed LDPs on this site, packaged as zip files for each site. We hope you will take the time to consider the submissions that are relevant to you, and give us your feedback on them. Some of these files are very large in size (>100MB). If you have trouble accessing the information, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will find an alternative solution.

Community Engagement
As explained in the Planning Legislation section of this site, there is an increased emphasis on community involvement in the planning system. Bancon have always made efforts to involve Community Councils and other community groups where possible, and this has now become a statutory requirement. Bancon believe, however, that additional efforts should be made to involve more than just Community Councils and other organised groups. The increasing presence of the internet in everyday life is evident, and as such it seems logical that its use for involving the general public in the planning process should be exploited. It is hoped, therefore, that this site will make the projects promoted by Bancon Developments accessible to all at every stage of the process.
If you have any comments on anything you see on the site, please visit the contact us page and send your message securely to us. We value your feedback, but in order to ensure your comments are taken on board, we ask that you take care to identify the topic/site/project and your interest in it in the relevant box.
